Charter Information
The White County School System operates under the terms of a charter contract between the State Board of Education and the local Board of Education. This contract grants broad flexibility that includes waivers of certain state laws in exchange for greater accountability and higher performance goals. Charter Systems emphasize school-based leadership and decision-making.
