The Special Education Program in the White County School System is designed to meet the specific needs of students with disabilities age 3 through 21. White County serves Over 500 students and employees 40 Teachers, 28 Para-educators, 6 Speech Therapists, 2 School Psychologists.

Disability areas served at this time include: emotional/behavioral disordered; specific learning disabled; mildly, moderately, severely, and profoundly intellectually disabled; traumatic brain injured; orthopedically impaired; other health impaired; hearing impaired; visually impaired; significantly developmentally delayed (preschool); and speech/language disordered.
