Major Duties-Board of Education

  • Adopt policies

  • Employment and assignment of personnel based upon recommendation of the superintendent

  • Adopt budget and set millage rate

  • Oversee construction and renovation of facilities

  • Serve as an appeal court for personnel and student related matters

  • Implement instructional programs in compliance with state law and rules of the State Board of Education

  • Board Members have no individual authority-only as a group during official meetings of the BOE
